Special Guest Yoga Instructor Denise Reppenhagen from Swell Yoga!

Denise comes to us from Encinitas, CA with over 20 years of teaching experience. She is an avid Ashtanga yoga practitioner who integrates her love of surfing and dance into the practice of Vinyasa Flow Yoga.

Her sense of adventure has lead  her to  practice many forms of yoga including Ashtanga, Vinyasa, Yin Yoga, Iyengar, Bikram, Anusara,  Acroyoga, Yoga for Children and Restorative Yoga.  Denise’s greatest influences have been Shiva Rea, Tim Miller, Pattabhi Jois, Doug Swenson, and Eric Schifman. Her classes are energetic and creative. She integrates Vinyasa/Hatha flows into the power of the Ashtanga series creating a fluid wave of movement that allows the student to dance through the practice. With her background in surfing, triathlons, and years of teaching fitness, she brings a strong, athletic yet graceful style to yoga. She respects the core teachings of asana (postures), bandha (core energy locks), pranayama (breath), and meditation (focus/concentration). It is important to Denise that each student feel challenged yet successful in their journey while being guided with praise and support. She encourages all levels and all ages to share her enthusiasm for nature, the ocean, yoga, and complete health.
