What: STAR/PAL’s Annual Surf Clinic
STAR/PAL’s Annual Surf Clinic brings together law enforcement officers, firefighters, & lifeguards from a variety of agencies in San Diego County to teach 50 boys & girls the fundamentals of surfing while learning about water safety. Youth (9-15 years old) have been selected from underserved communities to participate in the program.
When: Wednesday, August 31, 2011 (Rain or Shine)
o 9:30am-10:00am: Registration begins
o 10:00am -10:20am: Introduction & water safety /surf lesson
o 10:20am-11:45am: Free surf with volunteers
o 11:45am-12:30pm: Lunch
o 12:30pm-1:00pm: Games
o 1:00pm-2:00pm: Free surf with volunteers
