Winner of the New York Film Festival's short film category  ‘Lunchbreak’ is a short surfing film that combines high performance surfing action with a cheeky twist on a North Shore legend.  A group of male surfers are out surfing when the local ‘Wolf Pack’ comes and calls ‘lunch break’ kicking them out of the water. The ‘Wolf Pack’s’ session doesn’t last long though, a group of groms are hot on their tales, determined to teach them a lesson.

A trip to to Phuket, Thailand not only in search of a unique cultural experience, but also on a quest for waves. What we took away from our journey was a new perspective on Asian culture and the understanding that your eyes always look towards what you need to see.

Holly Beck began surfing at the age of 15 and never looked back. With an NSSA title under her belt and years of traveling on the WQS as one of the top surfers in the world, Holly has hung up the contest jersey for a more simple and purposeful life. Setting up shop in Central America on a remote piece of land just steps from perfect waves, she has begun to carve out her own ideal lifestyle, running surf and yoga retreats, empowering women to take a little adventure and step out of the mundane. We caught up with Holly during our recent trip to El Salvador ( http://www.korduroy.tv/2011/surf-for-life-el-salvador ) to find out a bit more about how she decided to change her path and what she is working on creating down South.

Mele is a local San Diego surfer.  I wanted to not only highlight her amazing talent and style, but showcase a side of women's surfing that is not always in the mainstream.  I admire her femininity on the board while she powers through sections and get to the nose.  She is also a really rad girl!

By The Way is a fifteen minute short surf film featuring Sara Taylor, Ornella Pellizzari, Silvana Lima, Margaux Arramon-Tucoo, Jenna Ballester, Kim Kirch, Jen Smith, Courtney Conlogue, Danica Elbertse, Kaleigh Gilchrist, Rebecca Woods, Sofia Mulanovich, Malia Manuel, Leila Hurst.
